Welcome back,
Thank you for your continuing interest in our monthly
affiliate review.
This month affiliate review is about “How to create and
sell products on line” by Michael Green.
Michael is a 34 years old Internet entrepreneur who has
achieved a #5 position in the ClickBank MarketPlace in as
little as a year. This in itself is a great accomplishment
for someone who has no formal education in website designs
nor web ad copy methodology. Yet he designed and wrote all
of his online web sites and sales materials.
What I like the most about Michael is that he is responsive
and genuinely concern about your success. He showed to me
in his personal correspondences as well as the way that he
ran his forum that he is someone who cares about you.
Oh by the way, if you don’t know yet about Michael’s forum,
please make a point to visit it regularly. I am proud to
say I am a regular at Michael forum “where everybody knows
my name”, Cheers like type of place.
Let’s start our first review, shall we?

I personally sit and read through this entire manual. It
has a lot of information and it is not designed to read at
one sitting. This should be a reference manual where you
would need to come back and read more as you go along with
your online business ventures.
2- Timewasters to avoid like the plague
In this section Michael outlines 7 timewasters you should
avoid getting involved when you start to market your
product. I remembered when I first started out the minute
that I see any type of ad telling me how to get free
visitors to my site I immediately click on them.
I wish that I took the time to sit down and write my daily
journal then. I wanted so much to remember my mind set in
those earlier days. The mindset is the most important thing
you’ll ever need to learn when you try to market your
products. I feel that it does not matter how great a
product is, if the customer mind set is not ready – sales
just won’t be finalized.
3- Popup generator software
This software will create popup scripts for you and you can
insert them on your sales page. For non-programmers and
programmers alike, this utility is a very handy tool. I
used it myself since I don’t always remember java script
syntax on how to open the window.
Quick note on this – There are many popup blockers software
for sale now on the market. Visit Kim Thomas Dot Com home
page to copy my codes on how to generate popup via style
sheet. It looks like popup but in reality, it is another
division to lie out your html page (popup codes) on top of
your home page.
4- Time and date java scripts to close your sales quickly.
This is a cool java script to add to your order page. This
script will help make your sales page becomes ‘time
sensitive’. What do I mean by this? It means that if you
put something like this on your sales page:
If you order by midnight July 21st, 2003 you will get
additional bonus, etc… The problem with this ‘hard code’ is
that each day you must manually change the date. It’s ok
with 1 product but if you sell like 20 products you are in
big trouble. With this nifty java script, it changes for
you each and every time a page is refreshed.
5- Private list of Ezine editors for your article
submission.
This is my most favorite bonus of the entire bonus packs. A
private list of Ezine editors are edited monthly ready for
you to use.
Notes:
Guys, you can’t survive or even think of making any money
on the net if you don’t try to leverage your business by
submitting articles to Ezine. You must and you should. That
is why I wanted you to learn how to write web ad copy
technique from Maria in our last review. Never in my entire
life that I see knowing how to write can generate so much
money and not to mention the feeling of self worth. I am
not going to get into why writing generates a feeling of
self worth here since I am writing a review but if you are
curious, please email me.
Can you imagine how much more money I could make if English
is my first language? Heck, I write programming codes like
no tomorrow but writing sales page or writing reviews for
you take a lot of my time.
I just want to let you in on this. I care so much about you
guys. I may make money in the future with Kim Thomas Dot
Com but right now I just want to write reviews, no
nonsense, unbiased reviews so that you don’t throw your
hard earned money away.
You can help me more by spreading the words about our
monthly affiliate review. If more of you guys read my
reviews then future ebook publishers, affiliate publishers
would beg me to write reviews for them. That means you’ll
get a leg up exactly how their software or ebook work.
Another way to accomplish this is by telling them that you
will not buy their products unless it is having a review
from Kim. Doing this each and every time you want to buy
something will make people sit up and get notice. Money
talks friends.
6- Website critique (gold membership) and a one-on-one
personal consultation with Michael (platinum membership)
OK here we get to the meaty stuff. If you are going to
purchase this product, you should and you would want to get
the platinum membership.
I feel that your money is not well spent if you purchase
regular or gold membership.
Website critique is ok but one-on-one consultation with
Michael is a better deal for this price. He lets me in a
little secret that he did not want to broadcast on his
website. Here is what you’ll get with the platinum package.
- On the phone consultation with Michael about your
business. He needs to know what you are trying to
accomplish. You can brainstorm him at this point to see if
your idea is even sound.
- He will then write a formal report to give you his
feedback
- Then he also gives you his critique on your website.
7- How much this package and one-on-one with Michael cost
you?
Normal package: $127.00
Gold: $149.00
Platinum: $179.00
===============================================
My recommendation:
Well let’s see if I am going to buy this package if has to
be the platinum, so before I am going to make a decision
whether or not I should buy the platinum package, let’s
works out some numbers.
1- The monthly update Ezine directory by Michael is worth
somewhere in the neighborhood of $250.00 a year. How did I
arrive at that number? If you are going to buy a
subscription service to any Ezine directory, let’s say
“Ezine Directory” from Charlie Page, it’ll cost you about
$39.97 a year.
But Ezine directory service only allows you to get access
to their database, and you still need to write down contact
names, emails and incorporate them into your emails.
That takes time …
So if someone is already weeded out all the good ezine’s
addresses for you – and in the format that you can easily
mail merge, I estimated it would save you an extra $200.00
for your time. Doing business on the Internet, time is
essential.
2- Coaching time with Michael about your business and you
have his eyes, ears nose and throat in this regard will
probably cost you around $400.00. This is way conservative
estimate since I am SURE he charges more than that.
So even without the 247 pages manual and bonuses you are
already make your money back just by getting your hands on
this monthly Ezine update service and his private coaching
time.
So my final verdict is: GET IT- it’s worth it. You can’t go
wrong with this package.
Traffic tips from Trafficology
8. EXPLOITING EBAY FOR TRAFFIC
It's probably no surprise to you that eBay makes a great
traffic generator. I've generated quite a few subscribers
to this newsletter through eBay, and I'm going to tell you
how I've done it.
First of all, it's vitally important that you break none of
eBay's rules. They do not take too kindly to the blatant
and obvious use of auctions to simply attract visitors to
your website. They will shut your auctions down and even
ban you entirely if you persist.
However, there is absolutely nothing wrong with holding a
legitimate auction, while providing the auctioneers with a
URL for more information. EBay has confirmed that external
URLs are permitted (at least for the time being) as long as
they assist the buyers in obtaining additional information,
contain photographs, or anything else that could be useful
in the buyer's decision-making process.
So Step 1 is figuring out a legitimate way to auction
something that actually promotes your site.
Here's what I did:
I offered a "Previously Unpublished Website Traffic Idea".
In the description I said something like this...
"Every month, my newsletter Trafficology contains a lot of
unusual and never-before-seen traffic ideas. But I just
received a very interesting idea that is truly amazing, and
that I'm sure will boost your website traffic enormously. I
decided to NOT include it in my recent newsletter, and you
can prove it by going here..."
Then I provided a link to the Trafficology site and bragged
a little more about the idea I was "selling." Now this is a
legitimate auction - I'm selling a real product. Well, it's
a fairly nebulous product (an idea) but real nonetheless.
eBay did not dispute my auctions in any way and nearly
everyone who saw the auction visited the site. And about
60% of those who visited signed up as subscribers.
You can create a product (such as an ebook) that relates to
your website, and then "sell" it on eBay. In your
description, you can then mention your site as appropriate.
Every site is different, so you'll have to decide what the
product should be, but just about anyone can create some
sort of goodie, like a gift certificate or store credit, or
a sample product of some sort. You should make your price
low, but fair. One advantage of actually selling a product
for a few dollars is that your eBay auction fees are
recouped and this method of promotion is basically free.
It is definitely worth the extra few cents to have a 10 day
auction.
Step 2 in this process is getting people to find your
auctions. In addition to figuring out which categories to
place your auctions in, you need to start thinking of eBay
as a search engine, and NOT as just an auction site. What
terms might your target audience use to find you?
Make a list of keywords and search terms most appropriate
to your site. For me, a partial list
would be...
traffic
website
webmasters
hits
visitors
promotion
marketing
While you will definitely want to include all these terms
in your description, you can't really fit these into your
auction title, and still have it make enough sense for
people to click. And since most people search by title
only, it is imperative that you come up with a series of
titles to try and include these potential search terms,
while simultaneously describing your product.
For example..
a. WEBMASTERS - Get more TRAFFIC to your WEBSITE!
b. Unusual MARKETING and PROMOTION Idea for WEBSITE!
c. Need HITS? New idea to capture more VISITORS!
In just 3 titles I managed to capture my most important
keywords. You may need more, and that's okay. The more
auctions you have out there, and the more search terms you
use, the more visitors you'll get.
Using this method, my total acquisition cost for a new
subscriber is NEGATIVE $0.13. In other words, I MAKE 13
cents from my auction sales for every subscriber I get. No,
they don't come in by the thousands, but I have generated a
respectable 20-25 subscriptions a day this way, which -
over time - can really add up.

Ad copy Exercise: III
==============================================
Type out in long hand the rest of this copy. Repeat as many
times as you wish. The more you write the more money you’ll
eventually make.
Why do you think … ?
Have you ever wondered how toy manufacturers are able to
influence post-holiday, overspent parents to flock to toy
stores in January? Perhaps even you might have found
yourself irresistibly drawn to a toy store in January, and
shell out money inexplicably for one more unneeded toy.
Do you know why? Hint: It’s not because the prices are
slashed – and neither is it because the kids didn’t get
enough toys over the holidays. There is a calculated,
psychological scheme put into motion by toy manufacturers –
and they know it works every time because they understand
how the human mind works.
Wouldn’t you want to know what that psychological scheme
is?
How Triggers Were Discovered
Joe Sugarman, the best-selling author and top copywriter
who achieved legendary fame in direct marketing, ran a
highly successful mail-order company in the 1980s, JS&A
(the forerunner of The Sharper Image). Joe learned on a
mass scale which ad approaches worked, and which ones
didn’t. He studied the ads that achieved a high degree of
success, and discovered that they were clearly successful
because of certain underlying psychological triggers. He
identified 30 of these triggers that activate psychological
forces buried deep within the subconscious brain, and cause
people to buy.
Result: Through the effective use of psychological
triggers, Joe sold over 20 million pairs of BluBlocker
sunglasses, as well as countless other products. Joe also
sold several million dollars’ worth of product on QVC –
sometimes in a single day.
In his new ebook Triggers Joe reveals his startling
discovery of how to get into people’s minds, eavesdrop on
their thoughts, know what they want – and make a fortune in
the process.
Cracking the Psychological Code That Reveals Untold Secrets
Just as the human genome cracked the genetic code that
reveals untold secrets of the human body, Joe Sugarman’s
Triggers cracked the psychological code that activates a
person’s buying sequence. This is the secret code that has
eluded the sales industry for years.
Folks, this is not the kind of selling you grew up with.
This is quantum selling that goes beyond anything you’ve
ever seen or heard.
“This ebook will graphically teach you 30 ways you can
improve your chances of sales success by understanding the
psychology that Joe learned from years as a direct marketer
… an education that cost him millions to learn. He has
artfully taken this knowledge and applied it to the dynamic
of personal selling and has crafted an ebook unlike
anything you’ll find elsewhere. This is an ebook that
should be on every salesman’s desk.”
-- Joe Girard is an author of 4 books, and is listed in the
Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s greatest
retail salesman.
Joe Sugarman first discovered the power of psychological
triggers years ago when he applied just one trigger on an
ad, and it immediately doubled the response to that ad.
